Skills are special abilities units learn, that can help them attain extra damage in battle, extra defense, give nearby allies extra stats, etc.
Skills are learned by certain units, in certain classes, at certain levels. Below is a table listing each skill, the class they are learning in, the level you have to be to learn them, their activation requisites (if any), and their effects.
